A member of Mac, Mac & Mac’s Litigation Group, Donn Fraser has represented clients on matters before the Small Claims Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, the Nova Scotia Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, the New Brunswick Court of Queen’s Bench and the Tax Court of Canada. Knowing that no one likes finding themselves in a legal dispute, Donn offers the comfort of an immediate response and efficient development of a plan of action.
Before returning home to Pictou County, Donn spent six years doing litigation work at a large Halifax law firm. His practice has included commercial and business litigation, construction disputes, insurance advice. He has also acted as both a Municipal and Crown prosecutor and has an active practice in municipal law. He continues to maintain a broad litigation practice, with particular focus on construction and commercial disputes.
Donn is currently the Vice-Chair of the Nova Scotia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association’s Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and is past Chair of its Construction Law Section. He has received The Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in Toronto and lectures at Dalhousie University`s Schulich School of Law on Civil Trial Practice.
A 2003 graduate of UNB Law School, Don also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Acadia University.Share on Facebook
