Not only did KPMG conclude that Canada is the most competitive G7 country in which to do business, it also concluded that Pictou County is the most cost competitive community in Canada in which to do business. Pictou County bested not only the 23 other Canadian communities that were part of this international study, it also placed number one ahead of all other 98 international locations in 11 industrialized countries. KPMG shows us the strength of our region not only in our traditional industries of machining and precision manufacturing, but also in the emerging industries of electronic assembly, software design, multimedia and back-office support.
