Bruce MacIntosh leads the Litigation Group at Mac, Mac & Mac. He has been called a litigator’s litigator. He is one of less than two dozen Canadian lawyers invited to join the prestigious International Society of Barristers. As a Past President of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, Bruce has worked closely with the Bar, the Bench and Government to improve public confidence in Nova Scotia’s legal system. He knows how the legal system works, its strengths and its weaknesses. As the son of a judge and the Father of two daughters who have followed in his footsteps, lawyering is in his blood.

Mac, Mac & Mac represents the vast majority of Nova Scotian women in one of the world’s largest class action lawsuits. We have acted as lead counsel in the tragic consequences of the Westray Mine Disaster. This work involved quarterbacking an extraordinarily complex multimillion dollar legal quagmire that included civil and criminal liability assessment, post-incident reconstruction, massive document assembly, and co-ordination of hundreds of witnesses and dozens of mining experts from around the globe, all in a multidisciplinary response to one of the most controversial corporate disasters in Canadian history.

More recently, the Mac, Mac & Mac Litigation Group successful completed one of the lengthiest and most controversial wrongful dismissal actions in recent Nova Scotia legal history, representing a principled whistleblower who single-handedly and successfully stood against an array of the political, legal and gaming industry elite of Nova Scotia. Our persistence in the world wide pursuit of one of Canada’s most infamous deadbeat dads has similarly attracted international attention in legal circles.
