MacIntosh, MacDonnell & MacDonald is our formal name. But we’re better known as Mac, Mac & Mac.

Mac, Mac & Mac is an integral part of the legal fabric of Nova Scotia. Our reputation and our practice extend well beyond our regional boundaries. We are the largest and longest serving law firm in Northern Nova Scotia.

We have a proud and rich tradition of legal excellence. Mac, Mac & Mac is unique amongst Nova Scotia law firms in having all 3 of its founding partners elevated to the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. We strive to maintain their standards of excellence.

Mac, Mac & Mac takes pride in breaking the mold that too often defines legal success by the size of the firm or the height of its offices. Our lawyers have deliberately chosen to practice law outside the metropolitan cores of Canada. Most of us are native Nova Scotians, with a distinctive pride in our region.

With a legal team totalling some 30 people, our 10 lawyers are able to respond promptly to the most demanding of clients and cases. We take pride in that responsiveness. What we call Team Service Delivery. It’s about commitment to the client - whatever it takes.

Our offices are located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. We are in the central part of mainland Nova Scotia, adjacent to the shores of the magnificent Northumberland Strait. While our client base stretches across the Province, the majority of our clients are drawn from the areas of Antigonish, Guysborough and Pictou Counties.

We serve some of the largest heavy industries in the Atlantic Provinces, and some of the strongest resource industries in the forestry, fishing and agricultural sectors. Our client base is diverse: from blueberries to parking meters, to lobsters, steel bridges and radial tires. In the last decade or so, our clients have increasingly come from the New Economy in e-commerce and digital technology.
